We know the results of the fourth edition of Mayor of Gdańsk scholarship program for international PhD students. Lucas, Giovanna i Athanasia will do the internship at Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology and University of Gdańsk. Fahrenheit Universities have been involved in implementing the program with the City of Gdańsk for four years, and the results of this cooperation include the scientific works of the laureates.

International cooperation and knowledge exchange are key elements of developing a professional career in science. The Mayor of Gdańsk in cooperation with the Fahrenheit Universities select three doctoral students from abroad each year to complete a one-year internship at one of the universities which create the Fahrenheit Union of Universities in Gdańsk. Winners receive a monthly paid scholarship of 6,500 PLN, free accommodation and reimbursement of travel expenses. All this allows them to fully focus on their academic development.

The winners of the 4th edition:

Lucas Rodrigues de Oliveira from Brazil (Federal University of Pernambuco), whose researchs focus on the hydrogen production via steam reforming of methanol catalyzed by copper supported 
on Ce/Zr-MOFs and their derived oxides.

Giovanna de Paula Costa from Sao Paulo State University with her research plan: Design, characterization and stability Assessment of new antidepressant multicomponent solid forms.

Supervisor: prof. Marzena Jamrógiewicz 

Athanasia Stavridou from Greece (Democritus University of Thrace). The subjects of her scientific research are embodied memories, aging and postmemory.

Supervisor: prof. Wioletta Radziwiłłowicz
