The conference program featured four thematic scientific sessions focusing on clinical, experimental, and translational immunology, as well as joint ventures session. The event served as a platform for integrating the scientific community from Tricity, exchanging ideas, and strengthening ties while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration among FarU research units.
The highlight of the conference was a keynote lecture by Professor Graham Ogg from the University of Oxford, a world-renowned expert in immunology and dermatology. His talk, titled “Lipid-reactive T cells and the skin: biology and therapeutic relevance,” drew great interest from attendees.
Young researchers from the Tricity area had the opportunity to showcase their work during a poster session, with the best presentations receiving awards sponsored by Merck and Promega.
The conference, for which almost 100 people registered, was a free event thanks to the patronage and support of the Fahrenheit Union of Universities, the University of Gdańsk, the Medical University of Gdańsk and the Gdańsk University of Technology, as well as the involvement of sponsors (BD – gold sponsor, BioLike, Promega and Merck). The Polish Society of Experimental and Clinical Immunology also took the patronage over the event.
The FarU Immunology Meeting is a new addition to the scientific event calendar in Poland and has already demonstrated the value of collaboration and integration in advancing modern science.
