Spectacular scientific shows will take place on the stage at the main square of Hevelianum. Hevelianum educators will present the most spectacular and breath-taking experiments. For those curious about the world, there will be space-related lectures, the physics of football and a search for Secret Science Agency agents.
Who was Fahrenheit? – a scene by the Miniatura Theatre actor from the play titled Fahrenheit
The physics of football – a lecture on a scientific topic for the general publicAnyone who has ever played football knows that, despite appearances, it is not easy. How to shoot so as to “twist” the ball? How much should the ball accelerate so that it does not fly over the crossbar? How do you successfully head the ball? Why is it so difficult to control the ball on wet turf? There are so many questions...
Is it possible to predict and plan the ball movement? How do others do it? We will answer these and many other questions during the lecture by reengineering the game of our football idols and playing football with you. Put on your comfortable trainers, it's going to be fun!
The Arctic and the Antarctic – an icy world at two poles – a lecture on a scientific topic for the general publicWe imagine the polar regions, the Arctic and the Antarctic, primarily as icy lands at the edge of the Earth. Their inaccessibility has aroused the curiosity of explorers and travellers for centuries. We now know that these areas are particularly important to our climate. In their highly sensitive ecosystems, all changes in the world around us can be noticed relatively quickly. One example is the current increase in average air temperatures, which in the Arctic is at least twice the global average. This is why these areas are often referred to as peculiar research laboratories. In my story, I will take you to these extraordinary worlds. I will talk about the work of scientists, but there will also be encounters with animals and stories about snow and ice.
Experiments with space – a lecture on a scientific topic for the general public
How a hedgehog shakes on its way to the stars, and about a rocket without a rocket, i.e. experiments with space by Gdańsk Tech students in cooperation with the European Space Agency.
A performance by the athletes of the MUG's Sports Aerobics Section
“Alternator” Academic Cultural Centre – the UG Vocal Studio – a vocal performance
The best of Hevelianum – a science show
Cold, hot and thrilling – the best experiments of Hevelianum! During the show, we will tame flames and extreme cold. We will also produce explosive chemical reactions.
Secret Science Agency – a science show
Secret Science Agency agents are on a secret mission to recruit new science popularisers. Experimenting together with the audience, they disclose the secrets of their work. They test perceptiveness, divided attention, concentration, resistance to stress, the sense of balance and many other traits of a good agent. You think it's an easy and fun job, but will you be up to the challenge? Are you fit to join the ranks of the SSA? Watch our show and find out!
Fahrenheit – a music and theatre show inspired by the figure of Daniel Fahrenheit.
