The development of the assumptions and possible scenarios for the federalisation of the universities and for their further integration, the implementation of joint research projects on an international scale, as well as enhancing the publishing activity and pursuing joint promotion and ranking policy are only some of the tasks of the Fahrenheit Universities (FarU). During the debates, we want to talk to the academic communities of the member universities about the FarU’s idea and objectives, main development trends as well as about current and planned initiatives. The Rectors of the Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk University of Technology and University of Gdańsk along with the FarU’s Director will take part in the talks. Attendance has been confirmed by the self-government authorities, too.

The debates will be held on the following dates:

- 4/11/2021 (Thursday), 2:00-3.30 p.m., the Gdańsk University of Technology, Main Building, Fahrenheit Courtyard

- 18/11/2021 (Thursday), 2:00-3:30 p.m., the Medical University of Gdańsk, Prof. Olgierd Narkiewicz Memorial Lecture Hall, Atheneum Gedanense Novum

- 9/12/2021 (Thursday), 2:00-3:30 p.m., the University of Gdańsk, theatre hall in the Neophilology Building.

DEBATE PROGRAMME

• The idea of the Fahrenheit Universities – Prof. Adriana Zaleska-Medynska, Director of the FarU
• Speeches by the representatives of regional authorities
• Q&A sessions with the Rectors of the three universities
• Good practices of French federation universities.

The meetings will take place in the hybrid formula. Due to safety reasons and epidemic restrictions, the on-site conference may be attended by 150 persons. The first in, first approved rule applies.

The debates will be broadcast on the FarU’s YouTube channel  and on Facebook.

Registration is possible through the application form published at faru.edu.pl/pl/debata. The form is available in two language versions. Through the form, you can also ask a question, which will be answered during the meeting with the Rectors, or in the reply to the form.
