FarU’s Cooperation with InvestGDA

Assessment of the possibilities of spatial development of potential industrial development areas, implementation of port-related, logistic and service projects, searching for technical and technological solutions as well as new tools and products in the area of management and finance – these are some of the main prospects for future cooperation between the Fahrenheit Universities (FarU) and the Gdańsk Agency for Economic Development (InvestGDA). The agreement in this matter was concluded on 14 December at the Gdańsk Tech.

During the signing of the framework cooperation agreement, the FarU was represented by Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of the Gdańsk University of Technology and Chairman of the FarU’s Assembly, while InvestGDA was represented by its President, Marek Ossowski, and the Vice-President, Maciej Cieślik.

We have at our disposal the potential and resources of three universities and we are open to cooperation on many levels for the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in Gdańsk – said Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of the Gdańsk Tech and Chairman of the FarU.  – Active support of the socio-economic environment of our universities is one of the main tasks of the FarU, and the conclusion of today's agreement means great benefits both for us and for InvestGDA.

We are convinced that our cooperation with the Fahrenheit Universities will contribute not only to the strengthening of the economic potential, but also to a greater recognition of Gdańsk as a city open to innovation, research and development. The associated Gdańsk universities means not only greater opportunities, but also a stronger brand – said Marek Ossowski, President of InvestGDA.

Maciej Cieślik, Vice-President of the Management Board of InvestGDA, added that thanks to the establishment of permanent cooperation, the potential for mutual competence support and regular exchange of knowledge and experience between InvestGDA specialists and the scientific staff of the FarU will increase.

As part of the concluded agreement, the FarU and InvestGDA declare cooperation in areas such as:

  • assessment of the possibilities of spatial development of potential areas for industrial development, implementation of projects and port-related, logistic and service functions in Gdańsk; taking into account the optimization of development conditions, including entrepreneurship and innovation in Gdańsk,
  • search for technical and technological solutions enabling land development and construction in Gdańsk and its surroundings,
  • search for innovative solutions in the field of management, finance and accounting.
