The Fahrenheit Universities are recruiting the international PhD students to the 4^rd edition of the scholarship programme of the Mayor of Gdańsk. Within the programme, it is possible to enrol a scholarship holder for 12 months – this is an opportunity to expand the research team by another person and involve them in ongoing projects or initiate new ones.

Until June 15, doctoral students from abroad can submit applications and compete for a monthly paid scholarship combined with an internship at one of the universities forming the Fahrenheit Universities. Winners will also be provided with accommodation and reimbursement of travel expenses.

At the application stage they need to indicate the host university in which they are planning to continue their research as part of their doctoral dissertation and support the university during that time. 

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAMME:

• undertaking a year’s internship at one of the Fahrenheit Universities
• conducting interdisciplinary research as part of your PhD dissertation
• covering travel costs up to PLN 6,500
• scholarship at PLN 6,500 (net) per month
• providing accommodation
• gaining international experience
• making new contacts.

Important dates:

• application deadline: June 15, 2025
• deadline for announcement of competition results: September 15, 2025
• internship period: from 1 January to 31 December 2026
