Long live science! The official opening of the academic year in Gdańsk - the annual, colourful parade of the academic community.

We invite you to join us on October 4th - the parade will start at 11.00 am, Golden Gate.

Students, academic teachers, authorities of Pomeranian universities and representatives of local government start the academic year together, walked hand in hand in a solemn, colorful march along the Royal Route. That parade is a symbol of integration as well as the celebration of shared values and objectives for science and higher education in our region. It is accompanied by unique carillons playing Gaudeamus igitur, the Gdańsk Academic Orchestra, stilt walkers, jugglers, monocyclists and circus performers.

AGENDA

10:15-10:50 – arranging participants according to the parade structure (Golden Gate in Gdańsk from the side of Targ Węglowy street)

11:00 - start of the parade with the participation of local government authorities, representatives of Pomeranian universities and artistic circles

11:00-11:30 - march along the Royal Route (Długa street)

11:30-12:00 - speeches in front of Dwór Artusa building
